Iraq and the US Agree to Evacuate the Ain al-Assad Base

TEHRAN (Defapress) - An Iraqi government source stated in an interview with Al Jazeera that the US international coalition will withdraw from the Ain al-Assad base, Baghdad airport, and the Joint Operations Command building and move to Erbil.

He added: This process will take place next September based on an agreement between Baghdad and Washington.

The source clarified: Military instructors will remain in the country and have nothing to do with the withdrawal of the international coalition.

Previously, Iraqi representatives had repeatedly emphasized the need to expel elements of the US coalition from the country.
