Critical Situation in Gaza and Martyrdom of 3 Infants Due to Frostbite

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to the Shahab News, Saeed Salah, medical director of the Patient's Friends Benevolent Society (PFBS) Hospital in the Gaza Strip, stated that 3 infants were martyred due to severe frostbite. These infants were between one and two days old and weighed between 1.7 and 2 kilograms.

Referring to the critical situation of 3 other Palestinian infants due to the severe cold and lack of necessary facilities, he added: We are asking the responsible institutions to help provide the necessary warmth for the people in these difficult conditions by providing shelters, tents, and fuel, especially with the approach of a new cold weather system.

He added: Our goal is to prevent a repeat of this disaster and protect children, especially newborns and premature infants.

It is worth noting that, contrary to the provisions of the ceasefire agreement, the Zionist occupation regime continues to refuse to allow the entry of prefabricated houses and tents for Palestinian refugees in the quantities that had been emphasized. Palestinian refugees are facing a very difficult situation in the shadow of heavy rain and cold.
