Gaza War will Resume in 10 Days

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Yoni Ben Menachem wrote on his website: Currently, Egypt and Qatar are trying to find a way to resume negotiations related to the prisoner exchange.

This analyst revealed: Informed Israeli sources believe that the likelihood of achieving this is very slim, and therefore, the Israeli army is preparing to resume the war in the Gaza Strip and increase military and non-military pressure on Hamas.

According to Ben Menachem, Israel, at the request of Qatar and Egypt, the mediators of this process, has refrained from immediately starting the war and postponed its resumption for a few more days to allow these two countries to continue their efforts to make progress in the negotiation process.

Informed Israeli political sources reported: From Tel Aviv's perspective, the chance of such an outcome is very slim, and the resumption of hostilities with Hamas seems inevitable.

He further wrote: Israel is using the current opportunity to prepare its military units for the resumption of the war, while the opportunity also allows Eyal Zamir, the Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army, to settle into his position. At the same time, conditions are being prepared for the arrival of Steve Witkof, the special envoy of the U.S. government, who is expected to travel to the region in the coming days, before the war begins.

Ben Menachem also reported: The Trump administration has expressed its full support for Israel's decision to halt the entry of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.

Informed military sources also reported: Eyal Zamir, who is set to become the new Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army starting this Wednesday, has summoned all senior army commanders to the Southern Command and reviewed plans for resuming the war in the Gaza Strip with them.

This analyst also quoted informed security sources as saying: The Israeli army intends to use giant D9 bulldozers, provided by the Trump administration, to destroy the remaining buildings in the northern Gaza Strip as soon as the ground war resumes, thereby taking a step toward implementing the U.S. president's plan for the forced displacement of Gaza's residents.
