TEHRAN (Defapress) - The "Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power)" party, led by Itamar Ben-Gvir, the resigned Minister of Internal Security of the Zionist regime, announced that it has submitted a draft law to the Knesset to cancel the Oslo Accords, the Hebron Agreement, and the Wye River Memorandum.
According to the proposal presented by Ben-Gvir's party, "the signed agreements will be completely annulled, and Israel will revert to the situation prior to these agreements, including reclaiming the territories that were conceded within the framework of these agreements." Additionally, the laws enacted to implement these agreements will be repealed, and the Prime Minister will have the authority to formulate the necessary regulations for their execution.
In a statement, the party declared that "the establishment of a Palestinian state in the heart of Israel's land could pose an existential threat to Israel and its citizens, perpetuate the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and destabilize the region." The party emphasized that it is only a matter of time before Hamas takes power. In this regard, Ben-Gvir stated: "The time has come to correct one of the biggest mistakes in Israel's history—the cursed Oslo Accords, which brought us thousands of deaths and continue to cause us suffering to this day."
He added, "The time has come to resolve this issue," and predicted that "all Zionist factions will set aside political considerations and support this law."
On September 13, 1993, Yasser Arafat, the then-head of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), under the supervision of U.S. President Bill Clinton, signed this peace agreement with Yitzhak Rabin, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime. This agreement, signed with the claim of resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict within a specific timeframe, involved mutual recognition of the right to exist and the establishment of a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders. Decades later, the dream of establishing a Palestinian state remains unfulfilled, while settlement expansion and the Judaization of Jerusalem have intensified.
This agreement proved that negotiating with the Zionist regime is not the right solution. The agreement was signed by Arafat and Rabin on the White House lawn, but because the secret negotiations for this agreement took place in Oslo, the capital of Norway, between the PLO team led by Ahmed Qurei and the Zionist regime's team under the supervision of Shimon Peres and Rabin, it was named the Oslo Accords.
