TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al Jazeera, the Zionist newspaper Haaretz reported that the Zionist regime’s army intends to completely turn Rafah into a buffer zone. The area of this buffer zone is 75 square kilometers, equivalent to 20 percent of the entire Gaza Strip.
The Zionist regime’s army will prevent the return of 200,000 residents of Rafah to this area permanently.
The regime’s army, having announced the completion of the siege of Rafah, continues the operation to blow up Palestinian homes and civilian facilities in the city.
On February 11, it was reported that the Zionist regime’s army had taken full control of the Morag corridor and had completely surrounded the city of Rafah. This corridor is a land crossing from the north and near the Egyptian border to the city of Khan Yunis in the south of the Gaza Strip.
The next stage is the expansion of the Israeli ground offensive into the city of Rafah. Published reports indicate that the Zionist military stationed in Rafah is competing with each other to demolish Palestinian homes.
The Haaretz report states that Rafah has now become a completely destroyed city. The aim of these actions is not only to control this area, but also to turn Gaza into an occupied geographical area and annex it to the occupied territories.
