Flour Stocks in Gaza Have Run Out

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al-Mayadeen, UNRWA announced in a statement that flour stocks in the Gaza Strip have run out and that this situation continues in a situation where the severe Israeli blockade of Gaza and the prevention of humanitarian aid from entering it continues.

The statement, which was published in X, stated that flour stocks in Gaza ran out a few days ago, and the World Food Program also announced that its food stocks were completely exhausted on April 25.

The UN agency added that about 3,000 trucks carrying humanitarian and life-saving aid for the people of Gaza are still waiting for permission to enter Gaza, but the Israeli occupiers are not allowing them to enter.

The statement, referring to the worsening hunger in the Gaza Strip, stressed that about 2.4 million Gazans, including children, are suffering from severe food shortages and are relying on charities to provide their daily needs to survive.

The statement called the total closure of Gaza's crossings the longest in history, stressing that these conditions have led to the deterioration of the humanitarian situation and the collapse of markets and the food pyramid structure of the people of Gaza, which was already quite fragile.

The organization called for an immediate lifting of the blockade of Gaza and the issuance of permits for the entry of humanitarian aid into the area to save the lives of civilians in the Gaza Strip.
