Lebanon's Government Must Back Down from Its Decision to Disarm the Resistance

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Mahmoud Qamati, deputy head of Hezbollah’s political council, stressed that the current stage requires support for the Lebanese army to protect the homeland.

Qamati continued his speech by adding: “What the government did trapped us in sedition and instability. The government decided to disarm the resistance in the context of the Israeli attack and occupation in Lebanon.”

He warned that the Lebanese government’s actions are an unprecedented disgrace that has made Lebanon subject to foreign decisions.

This senior Hezbollah member noted: “There is no contradiction between the formation of a government and the existence of the resistance and its weapons. The government must back down from its decision; otherwise, there will be no guarantee of stability.”
