TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while completely rejecting the false claims and baseless accusations against Iran in the final statement of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Arab League, draws the attention of the member states of this league to the necessity of Islamic-Arab unity to counter the domination and aggressions of the Zionist regime, and to refrain from any behavior or statement that diverts regional and global attention from the main issue of the region and the Islamic world, namely the ongoing genocide in occupied Palestine.

Arab League's Accusations Against Iran Are a Recurring Scenario

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran once again emphasizes the indisputable sovereignty of Iran over the islands of Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb as inseparable parts of the Iranian territorial territory, and while condemning any territorial claim against Iran, states that the repetition of baseless claims in similar statements will not change the geographical, historical, and legal facts concerning these islands. It is emphasized that all measures and arrangements taken in these 3 Iranian islands have been in line with exercising Iran's sovereign rights to preserve and protect the security and safety of these islands and to safeguard Iran's national interests and security.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejects the baseless accusation of sending military shipments from Iran to Yemen and interference in that country's affairs and notes that while the Zionist regime, under the comprehensive support of the United States, continues genocide in occupied Palestine, aggression and occupation in Syria and Lebanon, and repeated aggressive and terrorist attacks on Yemen, raising such unfounded claims, which are mostly fabricated by the Zionist regime, will not help advance the interests of the Islamic Ummah.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, recalling its principled policy of observing good neighborliness, respecting sovereignty and territorial integrity, and non-interference in the internal affairs of countries, emphasizes the necessity of strengthening unity and coordination among regional countries and avoiding divisive positions.

Iran is the most effective country providing maritime security in the Persian Gulf and regional and international waters and has always guaranteed the innocent passage of ships and vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. The Islamic Republic of Iran, within the framework of safeguarding its national interests and territorial sovereignty as well as its complete and responsible monitoring of the entry and exit points of the strategic Strait of Hormuz, while preventing any infringement upon Iran's national sovereignty, spares no effort to ensure the freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz within the framework of international laws and regulations.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, recalling the necessity of ensuring security and sustainable stability in the West Asia region and the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman through intra-regional mechanisms and with the participation of all regional countries and away from the destabilizing and destructive interference of extra-regional actors, emphasizes Iran's commitment to strengthening interactions among regional countries to achieve this goal.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while welcoming the position of the Arab League countries in strongly condemning the continued genocide by the Zionist regime in Gaza and the crimes of this occupying regime against the oppressed Palestinian people, emphasizes the necessity of taking effective and immediate measures, including halting any political, diplomatic, and economic relations with this regime, to compel it to stop its crimes in occupied Palestine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as the main initiator of the initiative to free the West Asia region from weapons of mass destruction since 1974, welcomes the provisions of the Arab League statement regarding the threat posed by the nuclear weapons of the Zionist regime to regional and global peace and security, and draws the increased attention of regional countries to the real and immediate danger of the weapons of mass destruction of the Zionist regime, and emphasizes that achieving a region free from the threat of nuclear weapons requires the collective resolve of regional countries to compel the international community, especially the supporters of this occupying regime, to take effective measures to save the region and the world from the danger of the weapons of mass destruction of this genocidal and aggressive regime.
