TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Secretariat of the Defense Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran issued a statement condemning the escalation of threatening rhetoric and interventionist comments against the country.

Continuing Hostile Behavior Against Iran Will Be Met with a Decisive Response

The text of the statement is as follows:

In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

The eternal enemies of this land, who have repeatedly and explicitly claimed responsibility for the killing of Iranian women and children, are pursuing a targeted approach by reiterating and intensifying their threatening rhetoric and interventionist statements, which are in clear contravention of the established principles of international law. This approach is aimed at disintegrating our beloved Iran and striking at the foundation of the country; a path that is not merely the expression of political stances, but is part of a pattern of pressure and intimidation, and cannot be considered to go unanswered, without cost, or outside of field calculations.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, relying on national solidarity, comprehensive deterrence capabilities, and full defensive readiness, reiterates once again that the security, independence, and territorial integrity of the country are a red line that must not be crossed. Any aggression against national interests, interference in internal affairs, or action against Iran's stability will be met with a proportional, targeted, and decisive response.

Within the framework of legitimate defense, the Islamic Republic of Iran does not limit itself to post-action responses and considers tangible signs of threat as part of the security equation. The escalation of threatening and interventionist rhetoric, which goes beyond mere verbal posturing, can be understood as hostile conduct; the continuation of this path will invite a proportional, firm, and decisive response, and the full responsibility for the consequences lies with the architects of this process.

So whoever has assaulted you, then assault them in the same way that they have assaulted you. (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:194)
