Israeli Army Attacks Qalqilia Protest, Injure Seven
Seven Palestinians, including six protesters and a journalist, were injured on Friday when Israeli forces cracked down on the weekly march against Israeli settlements in the village of Kafr Qaddoum, East of Qalqilia city in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
TEHRAN (Defapress)- Murad Shtewi, coordinator of the village’s popular resistance, said a large number of Israeli troops broke into the village before the launch of the march and mounted the rooftops of many homes.
As soon as the march set off, he added, the soldiers on rooftops of homes fired rubber-coated steel rounds at the protesters, injuring six of them, in addition to journalist Nasser Shtayyeh who was covering the march.
