Lavrov:
Trump Pens Letter Saying Ready to Continue Dialogue to Repair US-Russia Ties
TEHRAN (defapress)- US President Donald Trump has sent a letter, stating that he is ready to continue dialogue on difficulties in US-Russia relations, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"President Trump sent a short letter, saying that we are ready to keep searching for solutions to the problems in our relations," Lavrov stated in an interview with Channel One.
Lavrov paid a working visit to the United States at Washington’s invitation on December 10. While in the American capital, Lavrov held talks with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and was received by Trump.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova noted after the visit that they had focused on Syria and Afghanistan, and discussed security, disarmament and strategic stability.
