Launching Satellite Another Victory for IRGC
TEHRAN (defapress)- Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani congratulated Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on the successful sending to orbit of first Iranian military satellite.
Writing on his Twitter account, Shamkhani said that IRGC once again became, “the messenger of light,” referring to the anniversary of IRGC formation, adding, “It was another victory in the record of IRGC achievements.”
The IRGC launched the Satellite Noor-1 by the domestically-built launcher Qassed (herald) on Wednesday morning and placed it into the orbit at an altitude of 425km.
The Launcher Qassed is a three-stage launcher using compound soild-liquid fuel.
The satellite was sent to the space on the anniversary of the IRGC establishment (April 22, 1979).
