TEHRAN (defapress) - Following the disgraceful defeat of Saddam in the eight-year war against the Islamic Republic of Iran, the head of the Baath regime of Iraq on the second anniversary of this disgrace in history, launched an attack on August 2, 1990, organized a massive ground and air attack against Kuwait, its southern neighbor.

Netanyahu is crossing the same path as Saddam did

Relying on its military power, the Baath regime was able to occupy all of Kuwait in less than 13 hours and call it its 19th province a few hours later.

George Herbert Walker Bush called Western and Hebrew military and intelligence allies and Arab rulers, requested the deposit of tens of billions of dollars into the treasury account of the United States. Bush invited General Norman Schwarzkopf, an officer of the US Army in the Vietnam War, and entrusted him with the command of 540,000 American troops and 200,000 coalition forces. The general carried out Operation Desert Shield for 43 days in a complex military design and retook Kuwait on February 28, 1991.

But now Netanyahu is following Saddam's footsteps in military strategies.

Since the invasion of Israel into the Gaza Strip, the Islamic resistance group of Hezbollah, in addition to supporting the civilians of Gaza and decreasing the pressure on them, launched retaliatory attacks against the Zionist regime forces.

The aftermath of this response was the displacement of the Zionist settlers. More than 200,000 settlers left occupied houses after these attacks started. In other words, IOF has lost control of the north of Israel.

Although the Hezbollah commanders and leaders mentioned several times that they would stop attacking the north of Israel if Israel stopped the war against the oppressed people of Gaza, Netanyahu and his greedy cabinet are talking about invading the South of Lebanon. That's exactly like what Saddam did after he defeated the war against Iran. Saddam tried to compensate for his defeat by attacking Kuwait and Netanyahu wanted to cover his defeat in Gaza by attacking Lebanon.

Netanyahu is trying to guarantee his government by gaining some achievements from this war after more than 300 days. He knows that despite their words about their military ability, they couldn't release their hostages and are trapped in the streets of the Gaza Strip and facing more casualties.

The Zionist officials thought that they could defeat Hamas and resistance forces and stay there for a longer time, but the tide turned and not only they were stuck in the Gaza Strip, but they suffered from lots of casualties. They must be aware that a huge amount of fatality and damages are waiting for them at the border with Southern Lebanon.

The Zionist military experts believe that Hezbollah's military ability is way more than their expectations and if they do any foolish act, other cities of Israel also may be the target of Hezbollah's drones and missiles. They know that that's not all. Other resistance groups like the Iraq resistance movement and Yemeni forces also will back Hezbollah, like what they are doing for innocent people of Gaza.

Netanyahu and his cabinet should avoid following the path of Saddam Hussein.
