TEHRAN (Defapress) - An airstrike conducted by Israeli forces on a residence in Jabalia on Sunday resulted in the martyrdom Mohammad Morsi, who served as the deputy director of the Gaza Civil Emergency Service in the northern regions of the Gaza Strip, along with four members of his family, according to health officials.
The Civil Emergency Service reported that Morsi's martyrdom increased the total number of its personnel killed by Israeli fire to 83 since October 7. There has been no immediate response from Israeli authorities regarding Morsi's death.
Residents reported that Israeli forces had demolished multiple residences in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City, located 5 kilometers from Jabalia. Medical personnel indicated that they were unable to respond to urgent pleas from residents who claimed to be trapped within their homes, with some sustaining injuries.
"The sound of continuous bombing in Zeitoun is overwhelming; we are aware that houses are being destroyed there. We cannot sleep due to the explosions, the rumbling of tanks nearby, and the incessant presence of drones overhead," stated a resident of Gaza City, who was residing approximately 1 kilometer away.
