TEHRAN (Defapress) - Giora Eiland, the former head of Israel’s National Security Council, has stated that Israel is unlikely to attain “complete victory” in either Gaza or Lebanon.
In an interview with Israeli Channel 12, Eiland emphasized that both Hamas and Hezbollah are unlikely to capitulate. He suggested that pursuing a dual-front conflict would not be in Israel’s best interest and would be wise to open the door to political settlements.
Eiland remarked, “It is regrettable to maintain the belief that military pressure alone in Gaza and Lebanon can lead to a favorable outcome.”
This statement follows a recent missile barrage launched by the Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s military wing, targeting Tel Aviv on the anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Strom operation.
