WHO chief denounces assaults on northern Gaza hospital
TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) has reported that the recent assaults on Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza have led to an additional 14 injuries over the last 48 hours, affecting the hospital's director and lots of healthcare personnel.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus characterized the circumstances as “deplorable and deeply concerning.”
He noted on X, “Currently, there are 65 adult patients with injuries, 13 pediatric patients, and 8 individuals in the intensive care unit requiring urgent medical attention. The attacks on Kamal Adwan Hospital must cease immediately.”
Israeli forces have consistently targeted the hospital, its medical staff, and patients, causing damage to the facility's generators, fuel tanks, and primary oxygen supply system.
