146 countries recognize Palestine in the UN
This year, amid the continuing conflict between Israel and Gaza, nine additional countries formally recognized the State of Palestine, signifying a rise in international support.
TEHRAN (Defapress) - This year, in the context of Israel's ongoing conflict with Gaza, 9 other nations—Armenia, Slovenia, Ireland, Norway, Spain, the Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, and Barbados—officially acknowledged the State of Palestine, indicating an increase in global backing.
As a result, the State of Palestine is now recognized as a sovereign entity by 146 countries, which constitute 75 percent of the United Nations' member states.
