Zionist Regime Seeks to Divide Syria

TEHRAN (Defapress) - An expert in West Asia, Hasan Hanizadeh, in an exclusive interview with Defapress, referred to the aggressive actions of the Zionist regime's army on Syrian territory and the violation of the country's national sovereignty stated: "The Zionists are seeking to divide Syria. Now the Zionist regime's army ground forces are present 9 kilometers from Daraa and have occupied the heights of Jabal el-Sheikh." 

Hanizadeh added that the Zionist army is advancing on the Damascus-Beirut road and is a short distance from the Syrian capital; therefore, this action by the Zionists is a serious alarm for the territorial integrity of Syria.

Stating that the Israeli army has destroyed 90 percent of Syria's military, security, and economic infrastructure, he said: "Jolani" has not shown an effective response to these events, which reveals that there is an agreement between the leader of HTS and influential Syrian actors to divide the country."

Hanizadeh concluded by saying: The US army in Deir Ez-Zor and the Zionist regime are advancing in Quneitra and Jabal el-Sheikh, which is very dangerous for Syria.
