TEHRAN (Defapress) - The IRGC Navy is one of the powerful groups of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which is responsible for ensuring security in the southern waterways of Iran in the Persian Gulf.
In recent years, this force has been able to demonstrate its power in the Persian Gulf by maintaining its triple power, including "sea mines, patrol craft or speed boats, and shore-to-sea missiles."
Part of this naval power is related to the presence of speed boats, which the IRGC Navy has used to block any evil from the enemies with the tactic of "heterogeneous combat" and the use of these vessels. Strengthening the IRGC Navy's triple tactic to confront the enemies is also essential.
Recently, one of the IRGC Navy's underground bases was unveiled, and Major General Hossein Salami, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, visited it and examined and evaluated the new capabilities of the IRGC.
After visiting the IRGC Navy missile base, Major General Salami stated: The combat capability of these vessels and the missile systems deployed on them is in addition to the numerous combat vessels that are currently patrolling the Persian Gulf area, throughout these waters for the sovereignty and defense of the water borders of our Islamic homeland. These are in addition to the vessels, missile launchers, and other capabilities that are deployed on the islands and coasts of the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz which are ready to carry out missions; therefore, it seems necessary to pay attention to the missile power and vessels in the Persian Gulf.
Field reports show that the presence of numerous American aircraft carriers in the region has been disrupted by the IRGC's speed boats, and the presence of these ships in confrontation with the IRGC Navy has brought nothing but defeat for the United States.
The main question is how speed boats of several meters can stand in front of a few hundred-meters warships, and this is in fact the heterogeneous combat capability that is included in the IRGC Navy's maritime defense doctrine. In fact, instead of using several warships of several hundred meters, the IRGC uses small speed boats with high patrol power and a speed of about 100 knots, which are highly maneuverable.
This has also significantly increased the power of the IRGC Navy for possible conflict with extra-regional forces, especially the United States.
Admiral "Tangsiri", Commander of the IRGC Navy, referring to the high power of Iranian vessels in this field, says: The design and efforts of the elites in this field are a strong slap in the face to the enemies; currently, the highest speed of American vessels is 45 knots, while our vessels have twice this speed.
Increasing the capability and power of the IRGC Navy will lead to greater dominance of this force over the Persian Gulf and the consolidation of the maritime supremacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region.
The IRGC Navy does not only depend on speed boats but also has powerful and accurate coast-to-sea missiles and surface-to-surface missiles which are other levers of power of this force.
Today, the IRGC Navy has been able to create an acceptable deterrent for our country in southern waters with its triple tools (sea mines, patrol craft or speed boats, and shore-to-sea missiles).
