TEHRAN (Defapress) - Nasser Abu Sharif, the representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement in Iran, spoke at the meeting of the headquarters for commemorating the Intifada and International Quds Day, held this morning (Tuesday) at the Islamic Propagation Coordination Council. He stated: "Today, the Zionist regime is facing numerous challenges, and there are significant disagreements at the security and military levels."
He added: "Regarding the resumption of war, it can be said that some are opposed to the start of the war, while others seek to rebuild the political and security system. In this regard, it can be said that although the Republican Party currently holds power in the United States, more than half of the American people are opposed to the Zionist regime."
Abu Sharif said: "Today, there are unrests in the West Bank as well as in southern Lebanon, and the situation in Syria also poses risks for the Zionist regime. Although the Zionist regime may be heavily supported militarily, the regional situation is such that conflicts may arise between the Zionist regime and the forces present in the region."
The representative of the Islamic Jihad movement in Iran emphasized: "What concerns us is not external plans, but internal and Arab plans. Unfortunately, many Arab regimes have aligned themselves with the Trump-Netanyahu plan."
Abu Sharif stated: "They propose an imaginary plan, and some Arabs want to take a middle ground and are making intense efforts to advance and implement Trump's project. In my opinion, this is the most dangerous issue we are currently facing."
He emphasized: "Quds Day is an opportunity for unity. A few days ago, we witnessed the screening of an Israeli-Palestinian film about the Zionist regime's seizure of Palestinian lands and the displacement of Palestinians, which won an Oscar. This proves that propaganda and awareness-raising play an important role and can penetrate the positions and stances dominated by the Zionists."
