Libya Denies Agreeing to Settle Palestinian Refugees

The Libyan Government of National Unity declared: "The mentioned report lacks the minimum standards of credibility and professionalism and was published in a media outlet that has no credibility among professional media."

The American magazine American Thinker recently claimed in a report that Libya's Prime Minister, Abdulhamid Dbeibeh, had informed the U.S. government of his agreement to accept 200,000 Palestinian refugees from Gaza
The American media outlet alleged that Dbeibeh aimed to gain the approval of U.S. President Donald Trump through this move.

In response to this claim, the Libyan Government of National Unity stated that Libya's position in supporting the Palestinian cause and the right of its people to live a dignified life remains firm.

The American magazine further claimed that Egypt and Jordan had firmly rejected Donald Trump's request to resettle the people of Gaza.

After assuming power in the United States, the American president had announced his intention to send 2 million Palestinian refugees to neighboring countries and to buy the Gaza Strip.

Trump's remarks sparked strong reactions from all Palestinian factions and Arab countries.
