The geopolitical and geostrategic scope of the exercise indicates that the Islamic Republic of Iran's overarching security orientation is based on maximizing the use of the country’s unique position in the regional geography, which is currently taking shape. If the necessary and sufficient conditions are met, this orientation could establish a central role for the Islamic Republic of Iran in the "international order" of the next century!

The focus of the maritime security belt exercise on protecting international maritime trade along the main east-west corridor and vice versa stems from significant assessments regarding security stability and economic development. In other words, the leadership and participation of the three countries in this joint exercise not only reflect gradual and profound changes in the international system and the distribution of power but also send messages to other power blocs. Among these messages is that the Islamic Republic of Iran cannot be isolated or constrained, nor can its national interests be easily trampled through collusion with transregional powers in the Western Hemisphere.

Even from a medium-term perspective, it is clear that initiatives like the maritime security belt will not remain confined to military, security, and geopolitical issues. Instead, they will lay the groundwork for forward-looking economies that stretch from East Asia to the gates of Europe on one side and from the depths of Eurasia to North Africa on the other, with Iran positioned at the heart of this diverse expanse.
