How a Military Conflict Turns into a “Regional War”

TEHRAN (Defapress) - The West Asian region has been under tension in recent months, which is pushing the region towards a full-scale military conflict. The United States is trying to ignite the fire of a military conflict in the region with destructive actions, but the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran have warned the United States and its allies that any attack will result in a harsh and painful response.

Major General Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said in this regard: The slightest mistake will open our hands to action, and the world will see a different face of a strong Iran. Then no American will be safe, and the fire of the region will burn the United States and its allies within itself.

This strong warning was issued after Imam Khamenei, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, warned America in his recent speech about starting a military conflict with Iran and turning this war into a "regional war."

The Supreme Commander-in-Chief has clarified in this regard: The Americans sometimes talk about war and about airplanes and ships, and this is nothing new. They should know that if they start a war, this time it will be a regional war.

Imam Khamenei added: We are not the ones who start it, and we do not want to oppress anyone or attack a country, but the Iranian nation will strike a strong blow to anyone who is greedy and wants to attack and harass.

Also, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces emphasized during a visit to a new missile city that we are ready to confront any action (by the United States and its allies).

How to turn a bilateral military conflict into a regional war

Now, the question that arises is how a military conflict between two countries can have the capacity to turn into a regional war. The answer to this question lies in the large number of US military bases in the West Asian region; Where dozens of small and large US military bases in the region could be targets for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s ballistic missiles.

Most of the aforementioned bases are in countries surrounding Iran and within range of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s ballistic missiles, hypersonic missiles, and suicide drones. Two of the US military bases that are of great importance in the region are in Qatar and Bahrain, and these bases can be accurately hit by the Fateh 110 and Hormuz missiles or advanced long-range rockets.

The Sheikh Isa refueling base, which actually provides fuel for the US F-35 fighter jets, could be a prime target for Iranian missiles. This could slow down US airstrikes in a potential war with Iran.

With the attack on US military bases in Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, there is a possibility that the aforementioned countries will also enter the war with our country, and this will cause the range of military conflict to not be limited to the geography of Iran. For example, the Incirlik base in the city of Adana in southern Turkey and the Prince Sultan base in the city of Al-Kharj, Saudi Arabia, are two other logistical and air bases that can be hit by Iranian ballistic missiles. It also seems that the use of the Sejil and Khorramshahr 4 missiles with heavy warheads will cause the equation of the war with the United States to enter a new stage.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said in this regard: "The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has always been and continues to be the guardian of peace and stability in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz. Also, in our region, the IRGC is rightly recognized as a powerful force that has proven its capabilities on the battlefield, both against terrorist groups and against aggressor armies."

He added: Freedom of navigation and safe passage of commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz is as vital for Iran as it is for our neighbors. The presence of extra-regional forces in our region has always had a result contrary to their claims; escalating tensions instead of reducing them.

As we know, with the increase in tensions in the West Asian region, the price of oil may increase to $150, and this is a completely unpleasant issue for some countries in the region, as well as European countries and the United States.

The above-mentioned points will cause the West Asian region to be involved in a widespread war; a war whose damages will not be limited to Iran, but the small and large countries in the region that are among the allies of the United States will not be immune from its consequences, and the military conflict between the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran may spread like a contagious disease to all countries in the region; This is not a bluff, but a clear fact that enemies have been warned about in the past.

In this war, Iran may launch hundreds of missiles in a wave of attacks on US military bases in West Asia and important cities in the occupied territories. This is an issue that the editor of the Tehran Times magazine had also mentioned under the title "Opening Pandora's Box will have irreparable consequences for the US and its allies."

In short, the point that the Supreme Commander-in-Chief made under the title of regional war may occur at any time in the region.
