The websites reported that Al-Nusra Commander Abu Omar was
killed in the army attack in Northeastern Hama.
They added that Khalid Shalal al-Ahmad, nom de guerre Abu Adam, another field commander of Al-Nusra was also killed in heavy fighting with the army soldiers in the town of Tal Aswad in Northeastern Hama.
Relevant reports said on Sunday that the army men engaged in fierce clashes with Al-Nusra near the village of Abu Dali in Northern Hama, pushing them back from more positions.
The army's artillery and fighter jets launched heavy assaults on the Al-Nusra positions and supplying lines in al-Hamdianiyeh, Tal Marq, Khowein al-Kabir, Um al-Khalakhil, Moshirefeh Tal Khanzir, al-Tuweibeh, Tal Khanzir, Atshan and Skeik regions.
The artillery units also shelled Al-Nusra's stronghold in al-Latamina, al-Shanabereh and Tal al-Sakhar.
Over 30 terrorists were killed and several vehicles and a large volume of military hardware were destroyed in the attacks.
