TEHRAN (Defapress) - Israeli airstrikes struck a residential area in Beit Lahiya last night, and martyred 73 civilians, including women and children. In a separate incident, Israeli tanks besieged the Indonesian Hospital in the Sheikh Zayed region, damaging its walls, while Al-Awda Hospital endured 3 separate attacks on its upper floors. Similar assaults were reported at Al-Yemen Al-Saeed Hospital.
Additionally, the Israeli forces bombarded the area surrounding Kamal Adwan Hospital, targeting water tanks and electricity infrastructure. Heavy artillery fire rained down on Jabalia and its vicinity, causing extensive destruction and sending thick smoke billowing from the camp area.
The Israeli military also encircled shelters with numerous armored vehicles, creating a scene of fear and chaos. Women and children faced searches and intimidation before being permitted to leave, while many men and youths were detained. Emergency and civil defense operations nearly faced near-total disruption due to ongoing attacks and blockades.
As a result of the relentless bombardments from Israeli forces, around 350,000 residents have been displaced from their homes. Hospitals are struggling with a critical shortage of medical supplies, severely hindering their ability to care for the injured and ill.
The escalating crisis in northern Gaza has prompted many medical professionals to flee, exacerbating the already dire healthcare situation for the local population.
