Syria in the dilemma of division and occupation

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Simultaneously with the dominance of armed groups in Syria, which was supported by foreign parties, signs of the emergence of a new regional and international project are visible, the aim of which is the disintegration of this country.

In this regard, we see that Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar claims in recent statements that “Syria can no longer be considered a unified country.” In this claim, he also calls on Syrian minorities to work to create an independent state for themselves!

This is while such statements by Zionist officials show that they have a plan to divide Syria and create new incidents in it. The announcement of the unilateral cancellation of the 1974 agreement by the Zionist regime and the occupation of large areas of the Syrian Jabal el-Sheikh by this regime can be evaluated in this regard.

The complete domination of armed groups over Syria would never have been possible without the support of regional and extra-regional parties, especially the United States. But still, the role of the Zionist regime is greater than other parties. Therefore we see that the Zionists’ repeated attacks on Syrian military and research positions are aimed at destroying any attempt to restore the country’s integrity in the future. The occupation of large areas of Jabal el-Sheikh is also assessed within the framework of the Zionist regime’s efforts to create a new reality to consolidate and strengthen its influence in the Syrian Golan.

Of course, this occupation is not limited to the military dimension but also includes broad political dimensions aimed at destroying efforts to return these areas to Syrian sovereignty in the future. The Zionist regime is using this opportunity to secure the northern borders and weaken Syria as a regional barrier capable of resisting its projects.

So the dominance of the opposition groups in Syria is part of an integrated project that intends to divide Syria into small and large states so that the interests of each party to the intervention in the developments in Syria are considered. Parties that do not only think about the division of Syria but also go so far as to reshape the map of the entire region and ensure the dominance of the United States and the Zionist regime. A dream that will never be fulfilled!

The Zionist regime’s support for the idea of ​​a federal system in Syria is not a passing position but is certainly a long-term strategy. This strategy is based on fragmenting the central government in the region and turning it into smaller states that are constantly at odds with each other. The Zionist regime is trying to instill the idea of ​​a federal system as a permanent solution in the minds of its people under the pretext of “supporting the rights of minorities,” but in reality, it is deepening the ethnic and sectarian divisions within Syria.

The federal system that the Zionist regime supports will focus on small states that will always remain dependent on foreign support, both politically and militarily. This type of government will create the conditions for Syria to never be able to return to absolute and complete sovereignty over its territory.

The creation of this type of system is a major step in creating a new Middle East following the interests of the Zionist regime, which intends to turn all the major countries in the region into smaller conflicting states so that the regime can have more power, influence, and stability in the region.

Therefore, the situation in Syria is by no means simply a national war related to the Syrian people, but rather parts of a general scenario that aims to disintegrate the major countries in the region. The countries of the region mustn't allow the implementation of this plan which the axis of resistance has been delaying for years.
