WHO Chief Decries Appalling Conditions at Kamal Adwan

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al Jazeera, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus reported that a team from the World Health Organization, along with its partners, arrived at Kamal Adwan Hospital 2 days prior, “amid hostilities and explosions in the vicinity of the hospital during the mission.”

He noted that Israeli authorities have unjustly denied access for 4 missions to the facility over the past week, which includes the re-deployment of an international medical team that had evacuated from the hospital on December 6 due to ongoing hostilities.

“Recent assaults have further compromised the oxygen supply, damaged generators, and shattered windows and doors in the patients’ rooms,” Tedros stated.

“The conditions in the hospital are simply appalling. We urge for the protection of health care and for this hell to stop!”
