TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al-Forat News, Iraqi F-16 fighters carried out a deadly airstrike on the terrorists' headquarters in Al-Zarqa, between the provinces of Saladin and Kirkuk.
The Iraqi Joint Operations Command announced in a statement on this matter: Following the statement of the Security Information Unit last Friday, regarding the airstrike by Iraqi F-16 fighters, and based on detailed information from the Military Intelligence Directorate, the Joint Forces of the Special Unit and the Eastern Operations Command of Saladin and the Military Intelligence Directorate forces, and under the supervision of the Technical Control Unit of the Joint Operations Command, they inspected the site of the airstrike.
The Iraqi Joint Operations Command stated: In this operation, the bodies of 7 terrorists, some of whom were wearing suicide belts, were discovered. Various weapons, logistical materials, equipment, and evidence of another crime were also discovered and seized.
The statement said: "The process of inspecting the area and its surroundings is continuing, and the identities of the killed terrorists will be announced."
