TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Deputy Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Ms. Amna Baloch, who traveled to Tehran to participate in the meeting of the Deputy Foreign Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), met and held talks with Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi on Monday, February 3.
In this meeting, the Foreign Minister, referring to the efforts of President Masoud Pezeshkian to promote relations with neighbors comprehensively, highlighted Pakistan's special position in Iran's foreign policy and relations, and Iran's determination to deepen and develop relations between the 2 neighboring Muslim countries.
Recalling the common opportunities and challenges facing the 2 great countries of Iran and Pakistan, Araghchi emphasized the importance of continuing interactions between the high-ranking officials of the two countries and continuous consultations at various levels to exploit these opportunities, secure common interests, and confront challenges.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of Pakistan, referring to mutual interests and common concerns, including in the areas of border security, drug trafficking, and illegal immigration, emphasized the country's commitment to further developing relations with Iran and cooperating at the bilateral and regional levels to resolve common challenges and concerns. The meeting also discussed and exchanged views on regional developments, including Afghanistan, Gaza, Syria, and Lebanon.
