TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Palestinian Resistance, emphasizing that this government must consist of expert technocrats and seasoned Palestinian figures, stated: "We are ready to form a committee to support Egypt's proposal for Gaza based on the applicable laws in the Palestinian territories."
Hamas also firmly declared its opposition to the imposition of any plan or administration for the Gaza Strip by non-Palestinians or the presence of foreign forces on Gaza's territory.
This meeting, after several postponements, is scheduled to take place in Cairo this coming Tuesday.
Hossam Zaki, the Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League, recently commented on the meeting, stating that there is a possibility of delaying the emergency summit of Arab leaders, originally set for February 27, by a few days due to logistical reasons.
He said: "Additionally, the preliminary meeting at the level of Arab foreign ministers will be postponed for a few days, with only limited changes to the dates, and this meeting is not expected to be postponed indefinitely."
This delay is due to reasons related to the schedules of officials and logistical preparations, not due to differences in the overall framework of views. Meanwhile, diplomatic sources within the Arab League have previously revealed behind-the-scenes details of the communications regarding the emergency summit of Arab leaders, stating that despite a broad consensus on emphasizing the final statement's rejection of the absolute and forcible displacement of Gaza's residents, one member country has caused a crisis by insisting on amendments to the final text.
An Arab diplomat also said: "One of the Gulf countries demanded adding the word 'forcible' to the phrase 'firm rejection of displacement' to limit its opposing stance on the forcible displacement of Palestinians."
At the end, the Islamic Resistance in Palestine, while firmly rejecting plans for the forcible displacement of Gaza's population, emphasized: "The fate of the day after the war must be in the hands of the Palestinian people and based on national consensus and the support of Arab countries."
