TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Shafaq News, Muqtada al-Sadr, the leader of Iraq's Sadrist movement, emphasized in a statement early this Monday: "We are the children of Bani Hashim and do not fear death. Struggle and combat are for us. We are ready to sacrifice for the sake of religion and our homeland."
He added: "We are the ones who fought against occupiers and terrorists. Sectarian tensions in the region, especially in Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq, are distressing."
Al-Sadr stressed: "The American-Zionist enemy is trying to incite war against the nations of the region, particularly Palestine, Lebanon, and then Yemen."
He called on prominent figures and rulers of Arab countries to take action to stop this American-Zionist aggression against Yemen, Lebanon, and Palestine, as well as the Zionist regime's violations against Syrian territory.
Al-Sadr further demanded the lifting of the blockade on the Gaza Strip, warning that otherwise, the residents of this narrow strip would be displaced, and the land would be sold to "pigs and monkeys."
He warned the rulers of Islamic and Arab countries against remaining silent in the face of these developments, cautioning them about the regret they would feel afterward.
