TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al-Mayadeen, the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council announced that it had arrested a terrorist network that planned to target pilgrims participating in the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein.
According to the Iraqi judiciary, the plans of this terrorist network included making and planting homemade bombs on the pilgrims’ route on the southern axis and pouring deadly poisons into the food containers provided to the pilgrims.
The report also emphasizes that investigations showed that the ISIS terrorist group used specific methods to recruit its members and brainwash them.
According to the report, this is done through books with misleading content.
Last Thursday, Karbala province announced that it had arrested a terrorist cell consisting of 22 terrorists who planned to carry out an operation during the Arbaeen pilgrimage and target one of the Hussainiyahs on the Karbala-Najaf pilgrims' route.
