TEHRAN (Defapress) - In a visit to army units in the western region of Iran, Major General Amir Hatami, Commander-in-Chief of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, referred to the readiness and combat capability of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army Ground Forces units and stated: This trip was made to assess the combat capability and readiness of the army units; by the grace of God, the morale of our comrades on the country's borders is very good, and their equipment and facilities have also been prepared in accordance with the experiences gained from the 12-day imposed war. Also, during this visit, we witnessed new initiatives, creativity, and innovations, for which I must thank all my comrades in the army units in the western region of the country.

Major General Hatami continued: The Islamic Republic of Iran Army has taken all necessary measures to confront the enemies with firm determination and will, and all army training and exercises have been carried out in accordance with military principles, especially passive defense, and have been prepared realistically for the battlefield.
Referring to the downing of various micro air vehicle, Hermes and Heron drones in the western region of the country by Islamic Republic of Iran Army Ground Forces defense systems, the Commander-in-Chief of the Army stated: “In the 12-day imposed war, the enemy’s first advanced Heron drone entered the territory of our beloved Iran from the western borders of the country, which was hit by defense systems at the very entrance to the border. Any aggression will be dealt with the same determination.”
Stating that the army is always working to increase its readiness to confront asymmetric and irregular threats, Major General Hatami said: “The territorial threat is a real threat to our beloved Iran.” Throughout history, whenever a ruler was weak, parts of this land were separated, but during the Holy Defense period, thanks to the efforts of the warriors of Islam and, of course, with theguidance of Imam Khomeini (RA), despite the many efforts of the enemies, Wajebi was not separated from this land.
He added: Today, the army's mission is to protect the territorial integrity of Islamic Iran and the independence of the country, and we all try to carry out this mission in the best possible way.
In another part of his speech, the commander-in-chief of the army called human resources one of the most important components of power and stated: First of all, preserving human resources is very important. The lives of every warrior are dear to us, and not even a single harm should be done to them, but the enemy should know that we are all ready to be martyred, sacrificed, and dedicated. We will stand until the last drop of blood, but we will not allow the slightest harm to be done to our beloved people.
Major General Hatami continued by pointing out the importance and special position of the Army Aviation and said: "One of the important units in the western region of the country is the Aviation, which, by utilizing the significant equipment at its disposal, is responsible for supporting the entire set of units in the western regions. During the 12-day imposed war, the Aviation demonstrated a very good, effective, and intelligent performance in terms of maintaining equipment and manpower.
During this visit, with the presence of Major General Hatami at the Kermanshah Aviation Base, several reconditioned helicopters joined the Army Aviation Combat Organization.
