Lebanon's Hezbollah Opposes Direct Negotiations with US

TEHRAN (Defapress) - A high-ranking official in Hezbollah, in an interview with Lebanon's An-Nahar newspaper, emphasized that the United States is seeking direct negotiations with Hezbollah through its Western and Arab intermediaries.

He added: "This request was conveyed to Hezbollah through mediators so that the party could join direct negotiations with the United States."

The Hezbollah official added: "We opposed the US request to negotiate with the Washington envoy regarding the future situation because we have had unfavorable experiences with this type of communication with the US."

Secretary General of Lebanese Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, warned in his latest speech that the Hezbollah's patience with the Zionist regime's continuous aggression against Lebanon is running out.
