TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to TASS, Czech Foreign Minister Petr Macinka announced that the country has not received an offer from US President Donald Trump to join the Gaza Peace Council, but even if it receives such an offer, it will not be able to pay a billion dollars to participate in it.

He added: Paying a billion dollars, which is required for membership, is beyond the Czech Republic's means. Czech taxpayers do not have the money to spend on these goals.

According to the draft charter of the so-called Gaza Peace Council, the administration of US President Donald Trump will take one billion dollars from countries for a permanent seat on the council.

The White House announced the members of the body called the "Gaza Peace Council" in a statement last Saturday morning.

The Gaza Peace Council is an international transitional body established under Trump's 20-point plan to end the Gaza war and manage the region after a ceasefire.

The council was formally established in November 2025 by the adoption of Security Council Resolution 2803, and its stated purpose is to oversee the implementation of the ceasefire, reconstruct the Gaza Strip, coordinate humanitarian aid to Gaza, and oversee a committee of Palestinian technocrats to administer Gaza.
