American Forces Are Suddenly Evacuating the Syrian Al-Tanf Base
TEHRAN (Defapress) - A security source confirmed in an interview with Al-Maluma that the American military withdrew its forces from the Syrian Al-Tanf Base yesterday as part of a secret plan.
He added: They are seeking to completely evacuate the base, and this action comes a few days after the evacuation of the Ain Al-Asad Base in western Anbar, Iraq.
The source stated: The American military has agreed to reopen the Al-Waleed border crossing on the common borders between Iraq and Syria after 10 years, simultaneously with the evacuation of the Al-Tanf Base, which is located near this border crossing.
He clarified: The American military has begun the process of secretly evacuating the Al-Tanf Base, and further details about the reason for this sudden move have not been released. They closed the Al-Waleed Crossing after the construction of the Al-Tanf Base 10 years ago.
