Israel Seeks to Silence the Voice of Truth by Assassinating Journalists

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Last night, Hezbollah stated in response to the martyrdom of a Lebanese journalist in a terrorist attack by the Zionist regime, announcing that it strongly condemns the treacherous terrorist attack by the Zionist enemy against journalist Sheikh Ali Noureddine in the city of Tyre.

Hezbollah added: This assassination is a war crime and adds to the record full of barbaric crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against journalists, civilians, and all of humanity.

The statement continued by saying that the targeting of journalist Sheikh Ali Noureddine is a sign of the dangerous escalation of attacks by the Zionist enemy, which is now targeting the media in all its forms and manifestations. This is a continuation of the systematic policy of assassinations and an attempt to silence the voice of truth and freedom.

Hezbollah stressed: This requires all journalists, the Lebanese Ministry of Information, media organizations, unions, institutions, and political and intellectual figures to take action and raise their voices in all local Arab and international forums, especially human rights forums, to stand against this Zionist barbarity.

This statement by Hezbollah was issued after the Zionist occupying army continued its aggression on Lebanese soil yesterday, Monday, January 26, as in previous days, and in a drone attack by the regime on a car in the Al-Hosh area in Tyre, Lebanese journalist Sheikh Ali Noureddine was martyred.

The occupying regime also carried out an attack on another car in Kfar Reman in the Nabatieh district, in which two other Lebanese citizens were martyred.

On the other hand, an Israeli army tank targeted a house in the Al-Salam area on the outskirts of the city of Aitaroun, and the Israeli occupying forces fired from a newly established position inside Lebanon in the Hunin area towards the outskirts of the cities of Houla and Maarakah.

The Israeli military also opened fire on a group of Lebanese civilians who were trying to reclaim their agricultural land east of the border town of Yaroun, damaging their vehicles.

Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes fired sound grenades near the newly established Lebanese army position south of the town of Odaisseh.

This is while, in the shadow of the complicity of the United States and international parties and the inaction of the Lebanese government, the repeated aggressions of the occupiers against this country have become a regular occurrence, and over the past few months, the Zionists have significantly expanded their aggression against Lebanon, along with the increase in US threats and political pressure, to push Lebanon towards the path of normalizing relations with the Zionist enemy.

In the meantime, the Lebanese government has not taken any serious action against the aggression and continuous violation of the ceasefire by the Zionists, and is only hoping for the actions of the Americans, who have given Israel the green light to continue its aggression against Lebanon.
