Iran-US Nuclear Summit to Be Held in Turkey

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Turkish media announced that a nuclear summit between Iran and Turkey will be held in Istanbul on Friday, with the presence of Trump's representative Steve Witkoff and Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi.

According to a CNN Turk report, the Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul will host the summit on Friday, which will also be attended by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and will be chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Western media had previously reported bilateral talks in Turkey.

Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian announced in a message today that "In light of the request of friendly governments in the region to respond to the US President's proposal for negotiations, I have instructed the Foreign Minister to provide the basis for fair and just negotiations based on the principles of dignity, wisdom, and expediency within the framework of national interests, if there is an appropriate atmosphere free from threats and unreasonable expectations."
