TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al Jazeera, Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Adnan Faihan, without directly mentioning the United States or Donald Trump, emphasized in his opposition to the candidacy of Nouri al-Maliki for prime minister, saying: "Foreign interference in the elections and options of the Iraqi government is completely rejected, and the effects and consequences of such interference must be examined."

This Iraqi parliamentary official stated: "The objection to al-Maliki's candidacy for the position of prime minister was first raised by domestic parties and then accompanied by foreign objections."
Meanwhile, the Construction Coalition, headed by Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, claimed that al-Maliki's candidacy was opposed by the main parties within the coordination framework.
The coalition claimed: "The protests against Maliki force us to reevaluate our mechanisms, away from personal interests."
