Drone Attack on US Military Base in Erbil, Iraq
TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al-Mayadeen, Reuters news agency, citing Iraqi security sources, announced that two drones attacked a US military base near Erbil airport in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
Al-Mayadeen correspondent also reported: The sound of two explosions was heard near the border of Erbil and Dohok in Iraqi Kurdistan.
He also reported an attack on a military base in the Nineveh Plains, and an explosion was heard in Al Qayyarah, south of Mosul, in northern Iraq.
In other news, an explosion was heard after a drone attack on the Rumaila oil field, which is run by a UK company in Basra in southern Iraq.
Reuters also reported, citing informed sources: Italian oil company Eni has begun evacuating foreigners from the Al-Zubair oil field in Basra.
