TEHRAN (Defapress) - Head of the Al-Nujaba political council, Ali al-Asadi, announced that the Popular Mobilization Forces have the necessary capabilities to confront American attacks, especially drones, and stated: Although these forces are not able to shoot down advanced fighters such as stealth aircraft, they can repel drone attacks.

However, according to him, these forces face limitations from the ruling political class.
Al-Asadi added that during the “12-Day Imposed War,” they were asked to stop their operations, and they accepted this request in order to give the government a chance. However, according to him, the other side did not respond appropriately to this approach and continued its actions.
He also mentioned the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, stating that despite his high position, the Resistance forces respected the decision not to carry out attacks and did not take any action in response to the incident, as their goal was to maintain the stability of the country. However, according to Al-Asadi, the government did not take any effective action during this period, nor did it arm itself or provide air defense systems.
He further emphasized that Iran did not ask for help from the Islamic Resistance in Iraq in this war, and according to him, it will never ask for such a request, because Iran can face challenges alone. He added that Iran is acting with prudence and intelligence to prevent the spread of tension in the region.
Al-Asadi described the actions taken by the Resistance forces as a “religious and moral duty,” and recalled that they had previously taken action in similar situations, including during the Saddam era and after the martyrdom of their religious authority.
According to him, at that time, they also participated in the "Zero Hour Intifada" as followers of Ayatollah Seyyed Muhammed al-Sadr.
