Strait of Hormuz Is Under Our Control
TEHRAN (Defapress) - In an interview with Defapress correspondent, Brigadier General Hossein Ashtari, the Supreme Advisor to the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, referred to Washington’s repeated breaches of the ceasefire agreement and stated: “This is not the first time that the Americans have not fulfilled their obligations and have broken agreements. This behavior has become somewhat normal for our nation; perhaps some thought that in these special circumstances, the other side would change course, but it was proven that the United States of America cannot be trusted at all.”
Emphasizing the country's deterrence capability, Brigadier General Ashtari added: "The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran are fully prepared for defense, and every action taken by the Americans has been met with a very strong, authoritative, and firm response from our warriors."
Regarding recent statements by American officials regarding "tariffs" and "naval blockade" in the Strait of Hormuz, he stated: "The situation in the Strait of Hormuz is completely clear; the control of this strategic waterway is in the hands of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and others have no right to interfere in it; an issue that our senior officials and commanders have repeatedly announced."
The Supreme Advisor to the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, dismissing Donald Trump's recent boasting, said: "The enemy makes many boastings, but many of these claims have never been implemented. The Islamic Republic of Iran will not give up its legitimate rights, and the warriors defending this border and homeland will resolutely defend the rights of the country and the nation against this rhetoric."
Brigadier General Ashtari also expressed his gratitude for the conscious presence of the people on the scene and noted: "It is appropriate for me to thank our beloved revolutionary nation who have been present in the field without interruption and with high enthusiasm and intelligence in these past few months and have supported the leadership and fighters of the armed forces. Surely, with this unity and obedience to the Supreme Leader, the Iranian people will be victorious, and the Zionist and American enemy, who have so far failed in their goals, will not be able to get anywhere in the future."
