General Soleimani's Leadership in the Axis of Resistance

TEHRAN (Defapress) - General Soleimani was the first military commander who arrived in Syria and Iraq to help at the request of the legitimate governments of these countries when the crisis ignited by terrorist groups. 

After his presence in these countries, General Soleimani with an innovative plan, strengthened and activated the axis of Resistance in various countries and succeeded in creating a new scene through popular mobilization in these countries and defeating all the plans and conspiracies of the Americans in the region.

This is why they say that "the greatest service that Martyr Soleimani rendered to the nations and governments of the region was to defeat the Takfiri terrorists in Iraq and Syria"; terrorists who were supported by the Americans and Zionists and were their proxy forces in creating sedition in Islamic countries and destroying the infrastructure of these countries.

The terrorist groups in Syria and Iraq were the proxy forces of the Americans and Zionists; because they were 100% obedient to their orders, 100% supported by them, and 100% created by them. However, ISIS was defeated, and on November 21, 2017, General Soleimani announced in a letter to the Supreme Leaderو the end of ISIS’s dominance in Iraq and Syria.

In addition to defeating the terrorists in Iraq and Syria, which was done with the support of the people of these countries, repelling the ISIS threat from the geographical borders of Islamic Iran was another of Martyr Soleimani’s achievements in the region. After dominating Iraq and Syria, ISIS terrorists were supposed to reach their main target, Iran, and make this country insecure and unstable, and set its borders and cities on fire.

However, the glorious commander of Islam and his brave comrades in the form of defenders of the shrine, citing the saying of Imam Ali (AS) that "a nation that engages in conflict with the enemy in its own home, will be humiliated, do not let it reach your home", entered the war against Takfiri terrorists far from the borders of Iran and removed the threat of ISIS from the borders of the Islamic Republic of Iran and defeated the plan of the US and the Zionist regime to divide the region, which was designed in line with the dominance of Takfiri terrorists and ISIS, and prevented the realization of their sinister plan in the region.

Deepening and expanding the geography of Resistance while respecting the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries was another of General Soleimani’s most important achievements in the region; it is on this basis that we witnessed in the Gaza War, all sides of the Resistance mobilize to help the people of Gaza and engage with the Zionist regime with all their might.

That is why the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, in his condolence message on the occasion of the martyrdom of Hajj Soleimani, said “Martyr Soleimani is the international face of the Resistance and all those who are close to the Resistance, seek to revenge for him. All friends - as well as all enemies - should know that the line of Resistance will continue with double motivation and a definite victory awaits the fighters of this blessed path. The loss of our devoted and beloved commander is bitter, but continuing the struggle and achieving the final victory will make the taste of the murderers and criminals even more bitter.”

The Americans believed that with the assassination of General Soleimani, the progress and strengthening of the resistance in the West Asian region would be stopped; but the Americans were wrong; because the school of martyr Soleimani not only did not stop with his martyrdom, but it also continued. A concrete example of this school is the "Al-Aqsa Storm" operation, which was a continuation of the unfinished and important actions of General Soleimani that this dear martyr intended to take to weaken the position of America in the region and enhance the position of the Axis of Resistance.
