Gaza’s Healthcare System is on the Verge of Collapse

TEHRAN (Defapress) - The World Health Organization announced that with the continuation of intense Israeli military operations, the worsening of the mass exodus of residents, and the severe shortage of basic needs; the healthcare system in Gaza has reached the point of collapse.

According to Al-Youm Al-Sabaa, a few days ago, 4 major hospitals in Gaza were forced to suspend medical services due to their proximity to places that were subjected to military attacks.

The World Health Organization stated that its affiliated teams are unable to reach Al-Awda Hospital and the Indonesian Hospital.

The organization announced that out of the 36 hospitals in Gaza, only 19 are operational. This is while at least 94 percent of all hospitals have been damaged or destroyed.

The organization added that only 12 hospitals are in a condition to provide a diverse range of medical services.
