TEHRAN (Defapress) - Simultaneous with the Zionist regime's airstrikes on targets in Syrian territory, media in the country reported that Israeli occupation forces, with dozens of military vehicles, infiltrated the area around the Al-Jabaliya Dam near the city of Nawa in Daraa.
The governor of Daraa, Syria, stated in this regard: "The occupying army of the Zionist regime, along with reconnaissance aircraft, entered the forested area of the Al-Jabaliya Dam near the city of Nawa in western Daraa with several military vehicles."
According to him, the Zionist regime's army targeted the slopes of Tal al-Jamou' near the city of Nawa in the western countryside of Daraa with three mortar shells.
At the same time, loudspeakers in mosques in the city of Daraa, southern Syria, called on residents to be prepared to confront the entry of Israeli occupation forces and to take up arms.
The Syrian newspaper Al-Watan also reported that residents of Daraa province in southern Syria clashed with the occupiers near the Al-Jabaliya Dam as the occupying army stormed the province.
However, there is no sign of official forces from the new Syrian government—any resistance is being carried out solely by local popular forces.
In this regard, Edy Cohen, a prominent Israeli journalist, referring to the regime's intense attacks on the military airports in Hama and Homs, wrote: "At least Bashar al-Assad would fire air defense missiles, but Jolani doesn't fire anything."
