Secret Operation of Mossad in Syria

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al Jazeera, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that during the operation of the regime's spy service called Mossad in Syria, 2,500 documents and images related to the regime's spy Eli Cohen were transferred to the occupied territories.

Mossad also announced that the transfer of documents related to Cohen took place during a secret and complex operation in cooperation with a strategic partner service. Mossad did not provide further details on this matter.

Hebrew-language media reported that these documents related to Cohen had been with Syrian security forces for several decades. Cohen was hanged in Al-Marja Square in Damascus in 1965.

Among these documents is Cohen's will, written a few hours before his arrest as a spy in Syria.

In January 1962, Cohen first entered Damascus under the orders of Mossad under a false identity as a Syrian businessman to establish extensive relations with the country's political and military authorities.
