TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al Jazeera, the Israeli Radio and Television Organization reported hours ago that Netanyahu is scheduled to hold a meeting tonight to discuss the prisoner exchange plan.
Israel's Channel 12 also announced that Netanyahu has summoned Internal Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich to the meeting for this purpose.
Israel's Channel 14 reported, citing sources close to Netanyahu, that despite the progress of negotiations on the prisoner exchange deal, it is likely that hardline Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich will remain in the government and refuse to leave the cabinet.
Yair Golan, the head of the Israeli Democratic Alliance, strongly criticized the performance of senior officials in Netanyahu's government, saying that he, Smotrich, and Ben-Gvir are obstructing the progress of the prisoner exchange agreement to ensure their political survival.
