TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Red Sea, as one of the world's most critical waterways, has in recent years become a stage for showcasing the military prowess of Yemen’s armed forces, particularly the Ansar Allah movement. Yemen’s operations in this region have emerged as a symbol of resistance and geopolitical power against the influence of the Zionist regime and its Western allies.

Yemen's Continued Dominance in the Red Sea

The reason for this lies in Yemen’s strategic position at the entrance of the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, which connects the Red Sea to the Indian Ocean, giving it significant importance in regional and global dynamics. In fact, it must be said that in recent months, Yemen has introduced itself to the world as a key player in West Asia’s geopolitical landscape through its operations and attacks against the Zionist regime in defense of the people of Gaza.

Accordingly, it must be noted that Yemen’s armed forces have so far succeeded in carrying out effective operations against commercial and military vessels linked to the Zionist regime, the U.S., and Britain in the Red Sea, using a combination of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, drones, and unmanned surface vessels (USVs).

Although these attacks against the Zionist regime had been paused for some time, with the continued aggression of this illegitimate occupying regime against the Gaza Strip, Yahya Saree, the spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, announced that the country’s military forces have resumed their attacks against Israeli vessels in the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.

What is highly significant, however, is that these operations have not only negatively impacted the maritime trade of the Zionist regime but have also led to an 85% decline in activity in the port of Eilat, pushing it toward bankruptcy. Thus, these actions can be seen as a sign of Yemen’s military and strategic dominance in the Red Sea.

On the other hand, the economic and political impact of Yemen’s operations in the Red Sea has been highly notable so far. These operations have caused a staggering increase in insurance costs for passing vessels and disrupted global trade routes. Moreover, Yemen’s successful attacks have affected global trade and left Western powers, particularly the U.S. and Britain, unable to counter this threat.

The continuation and success of Yemen’s missile and drone operations against the Zionist regime can be interpreted as a sign of the failure of the U.S.-led naval coalition, known as "Operation Prosperity Guardian." This coalition was formed to protect commercial vessels from Yemeni attacks, but it has so far proven ineffective.

From a political perspective, it must be said that Yemen’s actions in the Red Sea have exceeded the expectations of the international community. Even Zionist officials, such as Gideon Sa’ar, the so-called "Foreign Minister of Israel," have admitted their inability to confront this threat. In reality, it must be emphasized that Yemen, relying on domestic capabilities and the spiritual support of the Axis of Resistance, has transformed into a strategic power capable of targeting even U.S. warships like the USS Harry S. Truman in the Red Sea.

Yemen’s continued dominance in the Red Sea not only demonstrates the military and strategic capabilities of the Ansar Allah movement but also signifies the failure of Western powers and the Zionist regime against the Axis of Resistance. Yemen’s successful operations against Israeli-linked vessels have had profound economic impacts on global trade and the port of Eilat, solidifying Yemen’s position as a key player in the region’s geopolitical equations.
