There Is No Justification for the Collective Punishment of the Palestinian People

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al Jazeera, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said at the bi-state conference chaired by France and Saudi Arabia in New York: There is no justification for what happened on October 7, 2023, and there is no justification for collective punishment of the Palestinian people. We call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

He added: There is no justification for what is happening in the West Bank and for the continuation of settlement construction. We must reaffirm our commitment to the two-state solution before it is too late.

Guterres said: Those who obstruct the path to the two-state solution must answer a fundamental question: What is the alternative to this solution? The formation of a Palestinian state is not a reward, but a right.
