Palestinian Ambassador to Libya Responds to Rumors

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to RT, Mohammed al-Rahal, the Palestinian Ambassador to Libya, stated: “Rumors published in the media and cyberspace regarding the intention to settle Palestinians in this country and grant them citizenship are not true.”

He added: “Such rumors are being spread to cause seditiousness between the Palestinian and Libyan peoples.” Palestinians living in Libya have been immigrating to this country and several countries in the region since 1948, after the Nakba, and still live with their Palestinian identity documents.

Al-Rahal emphasized: Palestinians living in Libya reject receiving citizenship in this country and always emphasize their right to return to their land.

This is not the first time that rumors of this kind have been raised, such as the transfer of Gaza Strip residents to other countries, such as Libya.
